Had a slap at Spaceman on a mate's account the other week and yeah, the comparison to a scratchie on fast-forward is spot on. Every round's sorted in seconds, no waiting on a draw like Keno night at the club, so the burn rate is the whole danger. Agree with SamJackpot here, the speed is the whole trap. With a scratchie at least you've walked to the counter and paid consciously each time; Spaceman just laps you every few seconds while you're on autopilot. Reckon the only defence is a hard deposit limit set before you start, because willpower mid-session is worth nothing. And if anyone's posting big wins on it, screenshots of the cashout or it didn't happen.
Servo, fair point about the counter walk, but I'd say the old scratchies had their own trap. You'd buy a handful while you were there anyway. Keno at the pub made you wait a full game, that pause did half the budgeting for you. Spaceman gives you no pause at all, so your gut better be quicker than the rounds 😉
