This might be a dumb question but how do you even find out what setting a machine is on? 😅 I had a similar thing with Wild Panda at the club near me, an hour of nothing then the Free Games finally hit and paid bugger all. Makes sense now if the venue picks its own RTP as long as it clears the state minimum — cheers, that helps, thought I was just having bad luck 🐼

So if the venue can set it anywhere above the state minimum, does the same club even run different settings machine to machine? 😅 cos I swear the one near the door pays better than the back row 🐼

Darwin's door machine theory gets my vote, I've noticed the same at my local. Front row Wild Panda spits out a feature, the back ones cough up nothing. Can't prove the settings differ per cabinet but when your bankroll tells you something twice, I listen. Free Games for bugger all is the worst feeling though 💸😭

I track my sessions properly - yesterday I set my bet per spin before I touched Wild Panda and the feature hitting or not had nothing to do with which row the cabinet was in. Same cabinet layout, same day, wildly different feel, that smells like a per-venue setting to me, not door placement. As for the foot traffic angle, sure, you notice winners at the front. But noticing wins and your own bankroll lasting twice as long are two different animals. If a machine's tight, no amount of walking past it hides that from the punter actually sitting in the chair 💸 my rule's simple: one dry session at a venue and that machine goes on the blacklist, the RTP dial behind the glass doesn't owe me a please.

Panda giveth indeed 😂 I've had the same thing here, the club one near me is a dead machine most arvos, but my mate swears the pub version hands out Free Games like it's Christmas. Only takes one hit on the feature and you're a believer again 🐼🔥 reckon the venue dial is real tho, Aristocrat leaves it up to each joint within the state minimum so no two Pandas play the same. My club one ate a whole hour dry before the feature finally landed last week... paid sweet when it did ngl 🎰 might give Gramps' A$100 test a crack this Friday and see how far she stretches

@SteveCobber the pub vs club thing is real imo, reckon the venue does make a difference on how loose a cabinet feels. My club Panda in Toowoomba is usually a graveyard but one Friday night it just went off, Free Games stacked twice in one session and I walked out up about A$180 🤑🔥 all-time favourite when it's in the mood. Only takes one feature and you forget every dead arvo, that's the trap 😅 anyone else notice it plays tight right after reno/refit?
